Apple's iPhone 5

Group TANC will be introducing Apple's iPhone 5. We are building a survey to get information on what functions, features, and improvements we can bring to our consumers in our iPhone 5. Our target market will be smart phone users because of their familiarity and knowledge of smart phones. They will be able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their current smart phone and we will ensure our iPhone 5 will exceed all criteria.

  1. This will be interesting to see all the ideas in the end. I personally have an iPhone 4, and it has become very handy. The only problem I ever fear is my front screen breaking. Thus, maybe you can create a non-destructible screen, or include a free case with each purchase of a new iPhone. I do not know if they have this feature, because I do not download too many apps. but creating a voice GPS, to eliminate the use of individuals who use their phones for directions and driving.

    2. In regards to the screen, id like to know what major changes there were from the iPhone 3 - 4 because I felt the 3s screen was unwilling to break no matter how much you drop it but the 4s I have now breaks so easily

  2. That is very popular topic I believe. ALthough I do not possess any iphone, I always keep myself posted with any news from Apple Inc. Hopefully I will see something new and interesting from your group.

  3. I'm sure you will get a lot of input on your topic. It seems that the majority of people are owners of smart phones.
I agree with Kimberly with the screen. Although I am not an iPhone user, my husband has broken two iPhone screens. There needs to be a solution to this. Unless you get a deal, these phones can be pricey to continuously replace.

  4. This will be extremely successful. Apple is the craze right now, and almost everyone has an iPhone. Getting feedback on the existing problems with the 4s and enhancing other trouble areas will create a demand for consumers. If you distinguish a big enough difference between the 4 and the 5 the 4 will become obsolete and everyone will want the 5. Conducting surveys are a great way to get information on products from the consumers themselves.

Now it is time to have IPhone 5 now and they sure need to know their strength and weakness to make it a better and innovative product. Hope the new Iphone 5 will be like the introduction of 3G Iphone which was a big difference to the 2G Iphone.

  7. This is a very interesting idea. Apple has been mainly production oriented and very successful with it. I’d like to see how a sales orientation would benefit them.

  8. Great idea, and I like how you're focusing on your customer's needs. I was wondering, are you studying your competitor's products as well? More clearly, is there antything you can learn from your competitors, such as immitating what they do well, or fixing what they do not do well?

  12. I like your idea of the iPhone 5S, and I think it is a good choice of product for this project. Smart phone users are always looking for the next big thing. Like Armen said, the market for iPhones is endless. If the product is good, there will always be customers.

  13. While I think your target market should be just people who use smartphones as well, I think it is important to try and attract users who are not currently smartphone users as well to expand the market and create brand loyalty as well. It would also boost sales and there will be very low competition since some of the other smartphones can be too complicated for other groups, such as older people who mainly have cell phones just in case of an emergency and that is it.
